I was one in 1966, but grew up in a small town in Oregon. We made forts, rode bikes, walked down to the river, climbed trees, played tag. It was a great childhood and seemed much less complicated than the world is today. I think it started in Southern California. I couldn't ride my bike anywhere because of the traffic--and I am somewhat older than you. Other things were still safer, though.
