Drowning flowers
Apparently drowning your flowers has become somewhat au courant.
The floral designer said it was like modern art. Rather than just plunking the flowers into a vase, by turning the entire process upside down (literally), you are forced to look at the flowers in a different way.
He goes on to say how the tiny clear bubbles clinging to the flower petals adds interest to the arrangement.
Always one to try out something new, I bought a modest bunch of tulips for $2.50 and drowned them. I’ve looked at them from all angles and to me it still looks weird.
I actually feel sorry for those tulips who gasped for breath and now sit there at the bottom of the vase, drowned for sure.
