This week’s theme is RED.
My neighbour Faye does lots of entertaining over the holiday season. I don’t.
But I can decorate and fluff like a whiz. It’s become a tradition for me to tastefully decorate (and not over-decorate) her place.
Over the years, we’ve done traditional decor, all silver, all gold, all bows. You get the drift.
One year, I picked up a white feather wreath and that became the inspiration for a “feather/angel” decor.
This year, I found these great red glass globes at Restoration Hardware — and 50% off too. I just couldn’t resist, especially the 10″ balls. I actually made the clerk take one down from the display as that’s all they had left.
So here the balls are hanging temporarily on my curtain rod ready to go next door tomorrow for an all day session of red glass globe decorating.
Here’s what the red globes will probably look like after a few cocktails or two while we’re decorating tomorrow!

Excellent Larry!!! I would have done the same thing with the balls I wanted. Hey, if it’s the last one they have….you betcha! Get ‘em down for me—and give me a discount. Afterall, they’ve been used for display….discount baby!!!
Terrific theme. I bet the decor is super.

Hey - lovely globes, they must also match that white snow outside your door.
Great to hear we live nearly in the same city!
