This week’s theme is HOT.
Here’s my friend Kenneth cooking up his famous tomato pasta sauce from scratch.
You should have seen his face when I gave him this “David” apron I bought in the market in Florence, Italy last month. He thought he looked kind of “hot” cooking with this apron on.
I suspect from his reaction when I handed him the bag what he was expecting was the same-old same-old t-shirt rubbing in “you were there, I wasn’t and all you brought me was this lousy t-shirt.”
His first comment about the apron was that it was on the small side. I guffawed and shot right back, “not that I care, but it looks like an accurate representation.”
Kenneth didn’t laugh but he did keep his distance from the gas range as he continued to simmer the pasta sauce. He said he didn’t want to splash any of the HOT sauce on his clean privates.
