Stop with the ASAP now
Enough already! Today I heard three different people say the acronym A.S.A.P. as if it was a word.
First I really dislike the acronym period. Second, I totally dislike the smug attitude that often accompanies the acronym when someone choses to speak it as a word. And finally, as an acronym, it doesn’t necessarily mean “as soon as possible” — there are other meanings than just this one.
Delete ASAP from your vocabulary. It’s pretentious, condescending and redundant. Enough said but do it ASAP, okay?

….and another thing I don’t like is the ‘yuppisms’ —Yuppie language.
One, for example, is “Vaca” pronounced Vay Kay —-short for vacation! Good lord, what’s the world coming to these days.
You really hit the nail on the head this time! I so agree with you.

Did we wake up on the grumpy side of the bed today?

Really, because I can’t stand STAT.
How about “quickly, please”
That seems to do it the best.

to just be able to press a stop or pause button and get caught up on all the things that need to be done that seem to be falling behind in? PS; if you have an invention and are reading this please contact me ASAP. But don’t use that term becausesome peopledon’t like the term ASAP. You know I get so backed up with things to do because I’m not that very productive, unlike some people that seem to eventually get things done, I’m a procrastinator.
