I’ll have the oil and vinegar dressing, please

I swore to myself, I wouldn’t write an entry about her. Although there are some attributes I admire, she was a tad overbearing in her role on The View.

But I stumbled upon a discussion about “tossing the salad” — nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

Being the naive fellow I am, who knew tossing the salad had more meaning than the literal term?

Here’s the famous outtake from The View where the girls discuss “tossing the salad.”

Somehow I think Barbara Walters thinks tossing the salad is merely that, a salad that one tosses. And yes, dear Barbara, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

LMAO! That reminds me, when I was in England I learned that to the English “toss” does not mean “to throw” as it does here in the states. Unfortunately, I learned this about 2 months before I left, but it made for a good laugh anyway. As the movers were packing our stuff to ship back to states, we were going over with them what we wanted packed, and what not. A couple of times the hubby said “We’re just going to toss that.” Now as soon as he said that I started grinning and looked at the mover (who was English) and his eyes widened slightly, and then he noticed me grinning and realized the hubby had no idea what “toss” meant, but I did. LMAO! That was so funny…for me. ;-)
