When loins needed clothing
Loincloths in Film provides a comprehensive list of almost 200 movies where actors donned loincloths and not much more.
Many of the listed movies also have a photo gallery attached with trivia about the movie, the actors and of course, the ubiquitous loincloths they wore.
Who can forget Bill Maher and Playboy Playmate Shannon Tweed in that memorable movie Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death?
[Click on the photos for a larger view and to read the captions.]
How politically incorrect is Maher’s loincloth? But kudos to him for surviving and thriving after baring his all in a loincloth.
Here’s an example of trivia from Loincloths in Film.
Did you know the 1970 movie When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Special Visual Effects?
Or that the screenplay for that movie used an invented language consisting of only 27 words such as “necro”, “ocumba”, and “akita”?
Trivia such as that is packed throughout Loincloths in Film.
[This information is also available on Frostfirepulse who have published my submission Top 4 Loincloths in film.]
