I’m just not used to going out to events anymore. Sometimes the ticket prices just instantly sour me to even consider attending.

Imagine how surprised I was to find out the full-day, eight hour, six speaker seminar, Power Within on March 8 would only set me back $229 — Canadian. That’s only $28 per hour to listen to the best of the best communicators.

Power Within: seminar in Vancouver March 8

Why would I consider attending such a seminar? For starters, information is power. If anything, this seminar might lean toward information overload.

The keynote speaker: you’ve seen his infomercials, now you can see motivation guru Anthony Robbins in person. As much “in person” as being in GM Place with an expected 4,999 other seminar participants can be considered “in person” but that’s a moot point.

Power Within is billed as “One Full Day of Inspiration, Motivation and Entertainment that will ignite your Spirit!”

Included in the best-of-the-best speakers is fellow blogger Andy Nulman. It’s gratifying to see Canadian experts such as Andy are included in what often is only the American experience in such seminars.

You might rightly harrumph at the $229 ticket price. Don’t forget it’s an eight-hour agenda of the top speakers in their fields.

Time to get out some more and invest in myself for a change. Now I just have to find someone who’d like to invite me to the Power Within on March 8!
