Frostfirepulse spearheads social shopping
Heard about Frostfirepulse.com?
Neither had I until I received an e-mail from Chris Frost, Frostfire’s CEO. He invited me to take a look at their website and consider submitting content.
There is a reward program for user who create, submit and comment on content. It combines two popular online activities: shopping and social networking.
Yikes, my two biggest character flaws! As if I need an excuse to shop let alone sit here and shop online.
But I don’t think I’m selling anything so why would I bother? It’s the social networking part of Frostfirepulse.com that might appeal to bloggers like me.
At first glance, the front page features hot topics and trends. There are posts about funny products, celebrity syle and innovative ideas. The shopping aspect of the site is not apparent until you start browsing around the site. Interesting concept.
I’ll be keeping on eye on it to see how it progresses.
I’ve included more info on the following page about Frostfirepulse.com from a recent press release. Check them out and see if they fit your blogger needs.
Here’s how they describe themselves on their website:
Frostfirepulse.com is a user driven site where the content is submitted, commented on and rated by the community. This provides the users with the latest hot products, stores, trends, styles, deals and bargains from people they can trust.
Users are able to share, discover and promote the products that are important to them.
Frostfirepulse.com has paid particular attention to rewarding the community and in an unprecedented move has setup a community reward program. This rewards the users for creating, submitting and commenting on content.
Frostfirepulse.com has set out to combine the product range and prices of EBay with the user interaction and community of MySpace.
Frostfirepulse.com is spearheading the new category of e-commerce
’social shopping,’ combining the two popular online activities: shopping and social networking.
“Frostfirepulse.com is addressing the chronic problem for shoppers who aren’t sure what to buy, but know they won’t find it on sites of mainstream retailers like Amazon,” said Chris Frost, Frostfirepulse’s chief executive.
Frostfirepulse.com’s users are encouraged to comment on other user’s products, “The increasing popularity of customer reviews on the site will help get shoppers more engaged and thinking about recommendations from other people.” continued Frost.
As well as providing the framework for the users to rate, comment and post exciting new products, Frostfirepulse.com aims to provide the latest deals and bargains. “By allowing the community to post the hottest bargains, both on the internet and in stores, the users will be able to respond very quickly to any pricing developments.” said Frost.
While the serious aspect of shopping is ever present on Frostfirepulse.com, the site has set out to make shopping fun and entertaining. The front page includes many exciting and unique products while the site boasts channels including funny products, innovative ideas and celebrity style. ”

Frostfirepulse.com, for some reason I though you just liked saying the name, “Frostfirepulse.com.”
But IO’m not getting that same feeling I guess.

Just tried the site and seems to be up and running to me now. Do you think I went a tad overboard with the links here? Better check your glossory of blog terms, Rose — may have “blarffed” inadvertently.
