Then the rational part of my sleepy brain kicked in and .... duh... it was summertime. Even here in Virginia Beach where we finally had our first night down into the 20's in temperature, there are no flowers to speak of. This doesn't count the poor daffodils across the street that were tricked into blooming by our recent false Spring. They are a bit wilted now.
