This Saturday’s theme is WILD.
I hunted and sorted and scoured my photos for something wild. My “reindeer bed” was about the wildest thing I found.
The bed was commissioned by a friend for her condo at Whistler. When she renovated, she decided it was time the reindeer family moved on and entrusted the bed to me. Now the bed snuggles beautifully up at my friend’s place in Whistler.
Notice the deer family striding across the top of the headboard. I’ve named each one of them and often say good night when I’m staying up at Whistler and in the bed. C’mon that’s kind of wild don’t you think?
And of course there’s the brass moose head I call Wally that oversees everything that goes on in the bed (he’s a sleepy kind of guy — not too much action happening in that bed I guess!)
Maybe you’ve also noticed there are pillar candles in the branches on the headboard. I may be wild and crazy but those candles have never been lit once.

I think that photo definitely counts as being “wild”. I have a whole bunch of candles that I haven’t lit either. They’re just too pretty to use!

You are right in saying this is a WILD bed. I don’t know about those antlers on the wall… better than the whole moose head.

I work in retail and have seen alot of bed designs and furniture considered rustic or having a lodge type theme. This bed is “very cool” and has a great hunting theme with the built in trees and game. Very creative! Well done.
