Diane was first out of the blocks with her entry. Other entries followed then Mel decided to up and change the darn rules!

Pshaw, I say Mel. I been working hard on my entry so disqualify me if you must but check it out. Here’s my entry to your photo challenge!

Okay, so it may not be EXACTLY like your photo but I think I come pretty (no pun intended) close.

Of course, the wig and feather boa helped as did the long black gloves to hide my very manly, manly hands. No, those aren’t my boobs either in case you were wondering.

I thought the “deer caught in the headlights” over-the-shoulder glamour shot was the best of the bunch. It captures the moment I was trying to recreate with startling reality. It’s almost spooky how the photos are like yin and yang, simpatico simpatico, same same — ooooh, I have chills just looking at the recreation again.

Or is it the same feeling that one gets when looking at a car wreck? Oh well, I tried and I think that’s the point. Making an effort is worth just as much as getting it absolutely right, don’t you think?

[PS: just in case anyone needs clarification, like other entrants, I did PhotoShop my entry. The person in the photo is a stock photo. It is not me — really, it isn’t! I do not own a red feather boa nor do I own long black evening gloves and diamond bracelets. Well, maybe one small rhinestone tennis bracelet but that was a gag gift one birthday.]
