Writer irked at use of one word in movie
Ray Bradbury expressed his displeasure that Michael Moore did not clear his movie title with Bradbury’s lawyers. Bradbury suggests that Moore’s film title is riding on his novel’s title popularity.
Moore apologized but apparently said that if he had called it The Diary of Michael Moore would movie-goers confuse his film with The Diary of Anne Frank?
Coincidently, a new reprint of Bradbury’s novel is hitting the bookstands soon.
Coming from Moore’s point-of-view, he’s ready to slap a lawsuit on those who oppose his movie. Freedom of speech? Right to know? Media misleading the public? Check out Shafer’s comments on this issue:
