Larry Hnetka Goes HMmmm

(March 11/04)I got my bi-weekly shot of testosterone today. I’ve been getting the shots for about six weeks and they don’t seem to be doing anything - at least I don’t feel any different.

Aging is a complex and sometimes not all that pleasant event of life. Hot flashes (men get them too!), moodiness, and emotional rollercoaster stuff.

I don’t feel any older. In fact, like the cliche,

“I wish I knew back then what I know now.”

Not that I know a lot - it’s just that knowing a little bit about a lot of things is far better than knowing lots about one thing.

I am fascinated by the fact that we do grow into being our parents.

I listen to some of the rap music and think how can they stand that?

I look at some of the clothing and think how can they wear that.

I eavesdrop on conversations and I think why are they re-inventing the wheel — been there, done that too.
